Celebration of International Women’s Day

Today, on March 8th, we celebrated International Women’s Day, a poignant occasion to honour and appreciate the women who shape our lives. Before the festivities commenced, the Year 12 cohort eagerly welcomed our newest sixth form band, aptly named “Colour Palette,” and were treated to their inaugural musical performance, adding a vibrant note to this meaningful day.

International Women’s Day holds significance beyond borders, serving as a reminder to acknowledge the remarkable contributions of women worldwide.

From the nurturing guidance of our mothers and the unwavering support of our sisters and best friends to the ground-breaking achievements of trailblazers like Marie Curie and Malala Yousafzai, today prompts us to reflect on the resilience, strength, and brilliance of women in all spheres of life.

A big thank you to the year 12 band members of Colour Palette: Max, Prithee, Rangjung and Mayecha.

Another special thank you to one of our strong female students in the sixth form: Katie, for supporting Ms Patel in the year 12 assembly.
